Job summary

Amentum seeks an Aircraft Mechanic I (Sheetmetal/Structures UH-60/AH-64/CH-47) at Fort Cavazos, TX to repair and replace structural components and assemblies on rotary-wing aircraft, following drawings, manuals and directives. You will form metal, apply primers and paints, balance blades, and ensure safety and quality in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications include a high school diploma, military technical training preferred, 3 years aviation maintenance experience (2 years rotary wing)

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Military technical school or specialized training preferred; certification of education level required.
• A&P license valid (optional).
• Three years aviation maintenance experience, two years rotary wing experience, and two years on the assigned MDS within the last six years.
• Must have valid Driver’s License.

Responsibilities

• Repairs, fabricates, modifies and installs structural parts using metal forming techniques.
• Balances rotary-wing aircraft blades.
• Performs inspections and removal of components.
• Mixes and applies primers and paints to aircraft surfaces.
• Prepares forms and records related to maintenance.
