Job summary

Community Financial System, Inc. (CFSI) is seeking a part-time Teller to serve as the friendly, reliable first point of contact for customers in the branch.

You will handle deposits, withdrawals, payments, and check cashing with verification of identity and available funds, while promoting digital tools. You will identify opportunities to refer customers to specialists, balance cash drawers, and support security and compliance in daily operations.

• Excellent interpersonal, listening, and communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail with accurate and proficient math skills.
• Ability to follow established procedures and maintain confidentiality.
• Comfort using computers, digital tools, and standard office applications; ability to learn and navigate banking systems.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a welcoming first point of contact for customers entering the branch.
• Process routine financial transactions with verification of identity and funds.
• Educate customers on digital banking tools and self-service options.
• Direct inquiries to the appropriate team members and assist with lobby management.
• Support branch operations and a positive customer experience.
