Job summary

Community Financial System, Inc. (CFSI) is seeking a part-time Teller to provide friendly, accurate banking service at our branch locations.

You will handle deposits, withdrawals, payments, and check cashing while ensuring cash drawer accuracy and customer identity verification. Responsibilities include educating customers on digital tools, directing complex inquiries to specialists, and supporting lobby operations.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Complete internal teller and product training.
• Attend a 5–7 day initial training program; travel expenses covered by the company.
• Reliable transportation required.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a welcoming, professional first contact for customers entering the branch.
• Process routine financial transactions (deposits, withdrawals, payments, check cashing) with verification of identity and funds.
• Educate customers on digital banking tools and self-service options.
• Assist with inquiries and escalate complex issues as needed.
• Support lobby management and guide customers to the right team.
