Community Financial System, Inc. (CFSI) is seeking a Teller to serve as a frontline representative, delivering a welcoming, accurate, and customer‑focused banking experience. This position processes financial transactions, maintains cash accuracy, and supports customers with everyday banking needs.

The role emphasizes listening to customer needs, educating on digital banking tools, enforcing security and compliance standards, and guiding customers to the right team for additional services.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Ability to complete internal teller and product training.
• Willingness to travel for training as needed.
• Reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a welcoming and professional first point of contact for customers entering the branch.
• Process routine financial transactions: deposits, withdrawals, payments, and check cashing with verification of customer identity and funds.
• Educate customers on digital banking tools and self-service options.
• Escalate complex issues and refer to appropriate team members as needed.
• Support lobby management and guide customers to the right service area.
• Ensure compliance with security, privacy, and policy requirements.
• Assist with operating procedures and travel to other branches to support staffing.
