Job summary

Integrated Power Services (IPS) is seeking a Field Service Technician to lead on-site diagnostics, precision repairs, and overhauls of industrial rotating equipment. You will be part of a team delivering an unmatched customer experience, with focus on root-cause analysis and reliable equipment performance.

You should have 2+ years of hands-on experience with motors and gearboxes, strong measurement skills, and a safety-first mindset.

Qualifications

• Experience: 2+ years of hands‑on experience with AC/DC motors, gearboxes, pumps, or similar rotating industrial equipment.
• Tool Proficiency: read and interpret precision measuring instruments and technical blueprints.
• Analytical Mindset: strong problem‑solving in a fast‑paced environment.
• Communication: strong customer‑facing skills.
• The "Road Warrior" Spirit: valid Driver’s License and willingness to work overtime and weekends.
• Technical Extras (Preferred): PdMA testing or Level I Vibration Analysis is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Precision Assembly & Alignment: Lead the installation and removal of AC/DC motors and coupled equipment. Perform laser alignments and set air gaps per OEM specs.
• Detailed Mechanical Inspections: Use precision measuring tools to diagnose wear and verify tolerances.
• Advanced Overhauls: Replace bearings, gearboxes and torque-critical components with specialized tooling.
• Technical Testing: Perform diagnostic tests using portable equipment to ensure system reliability.
• Specialized Maintenance: Clean and prep electro-mechanical equipment for a professional finish.
• Safety & Collaboration: Follow safety standards while working in a team to hit project goals.
