Job summary

Baker Hughes, through Cordant, seeks a Rotating Equipment Engineer to join the On Site Services team. You will diagnose rotating machinery, interpret vibration data, and provide on-site technical service to customers across oil & gas, chemicals, and power sectors.

The role involves hands-on diagnostic work, exposure to complex equipment, and significant travel with overtime opportunities. A mechanical/electrical engineering degree and field experience are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering required.
• Two years of industry experience preferred.
• Willingness to travel up to 70% and long overtime hours.
• Valid driver's license and passport or ability to obtain.
• TWIC eligibility and offshore travel capability.

Responsibilities

• Travel to customer sites to perform field service activities for machinery diagnostics and vibration analysis.
• Provide advanced technical support and root cause analysis for steam turbines, gas turbines, compressors, and pumps.
• Deliver expertise in vibration analysis, condition monitoring, and reliability solutions.
• Mentor and support development of field service engineers.
• Support outages, turnarounds, startups, and maintenance events.
• Collaborate with commercial and engineering teams to identify opportunities.
• Promote HSE standards and safe work practices.
• Prepare timely reports documenting findings and recommendations.
• Build trusted customer relationships through high-quality service.
