Job summary

Cordant from Baker Hughes seeks a Rotating Equipment Engineer to diagnose machinery issues using vibration and operational data, and to travel to sites for on-site support. You will prepare reports, provide recommendations, and advise customers for rotating equipment health.

This role requires strong communication and hands-on problem solving. You will coordinate balancing and alignment tasks, apply HS&E standards, and engage with customers to ensure reliability and uptime.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering (Mechanical Eng a plus).
• Minimum 2 years of industry experience.
• Willing to travel up to 70% and overtime.
• Valid driver's license and passport (or able to obtain).
• Eligible for TWIC and occasional overseas work.
• Knowledge of rotating machinery operation and controls systems.

Responsibilities

• Diagnosing machinery problems based on vibration data, operational data, and customer communications.
• Travel to customer sites to provide supporting service.
• Completing timely reports that identify findings and provide recommendations to the customer.
• Building relationships with customers to provide a high level of service delivery, becoming their trusted advisor for their rotating equipment health.
• Calculating and overseeing placement of balance weights.
• Applying Health, Safety, and Environment (HS&E) standards and procedures.
