Job summary

Rex.zone is seeking a Robotics Engineer to design and ship end-to-end robotic capabilities, from perception to deployment. You will work with ROS/ROS2, real-time constraints, simulation, and on-robot testing to move prototypes into production.

Qualifications

• Mid-senior experience delivering production robotics software and/or integrated robotic systems.
• Strong C++ and Python skills with experience using ROS/ROS2, TF frames, and robotics tooling.
• Knowledge of kinematics, dynamics, control systems, and state estimation.
• Experience with SLAM/localization, motion planning, perception, and hands-on sensor integration/calibration.
• Ability to debug distributed systems across hardware and software using logs and profiling.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain ROS2 packages, message interfaces, and launch configurations for multi-sensor robotic platforms.
• Implement perception and sensor fusion pipelines using cameras, LiDAR, IMU, and wheel odometry for SLAM, localization, and obstacle detection.
• Build motion planning and control components (trajectory generation, PID/MPC tuning, safety constraints) and validate in simulation and on hardware.
• Create test plans, performance benchmarks, and reliability checks (latency, drift, failure modes).
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate embedded systems and cloud telemetry for monitoring and diagnostics.
