Job summary

Apave America Inc. is seeking Technicians with Rope Access Level 2 or 3 for full-time resident roles at client sites in the Cherry Point, WA area. The technician will perform rope-based inspections, maintenance and other industrial tasks under supervision, with travel may be required.

Qualifications include SPRAT/IRATA Level 2/3, physical stamina, and the ability to work at heights. The role demands safety-conscious, team-oriented individuals who can communicate effectively and follow permits

Qualifications

• Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age.
• SPRAT or IRATA Level 2 or 3 Certification required.
• Valid Driver License and pre-access drug & alcohol testing required.
• Pre-employment background checks will be required.
• Must have a capacity for work at various heights.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe, secure and healthy environment by adhering to safety standards and site procedures.
• Oversee Rope Access Technicians to ensure work is performed correctly and safely.
• Follow Rope Access Supervisor’s or Lead Technician’s directions.
• Display a healthy respect for heights and follow safety procedures.
• Understand work permits and participate in job hazard analyses (JHA).
• Participate in required training and rope access certification sessions and maintain a working understanding of rope access safe working practices.
• Inspect and verify rope access systems and components before use.
• Recognize worksite hazards and notify the Rope Access Supervisor or Site Manager of any unsafe conditions.
• Maintain proficiency at rescue techniques and assist in rescues as directed.
• Assist other crafts while not actively working on projects.
• Utilize proper personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Perform all duties as assigned.
