Job summary

Montage Laguna Beach is seeking a Rooms Controller to strategically manage room inventory and assignments, balancing leisure and group demand to optimize availability and revenue. You will work with Reservations, Revenue Management, Group Sales, Front Office and Housekeeping to maximize sellable inventory and ensure guest satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Strong English communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Experience with Reservations, Front Office or Revenue Management in luxury hotels is preferred.
• Proven ability to balance inventory and optimize revenue.

Responsibilities

• Monitor room inventory and balance the house to maximize availability and revenue potential.
• Straight-line inventory and optimize stay-through patterns to minimize gaps in availability.
• Protect premium inventory in alignment with revenue strategy and demand.
• Strategically assign leisure reservations in advance of arrival.
• Collaborate with Sales, Reservations, Revenue Management on group blocks and room assignments.
• Manage consortia upgrades and protect premium inventory.
• Review arrivals for imbalances and availability concerns.
• Communicate room priorities with Housekeeping and Front Office.
• Audit reservations for accuracy and guest details.
• Support inventory management initiatives as needed.
