Job summary

Montage International is seeking a Director of Rooms in Laguna Beach, CA. This salaried role oversees guest reception, concierge, reservations, housekeeping, and room division operations to ensure exceptional guest experiences and seamless service.

The position requires leadership in a luxury hotel setting, strong communication, and the ability to manage P&L, staffing, and training. Proficiency in OPERA, LMS, TIMESAVER and related systems is expected.

Qualifications

• College degree preferred; 5–10 years leadership experience in a luxury hotel.
• Strong MS Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Exceptional guest recovery skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead recruitment, training and development of all associates in the rooms division.
• Ensure HR standards and procedures are met daily and compliance with labor laws.
• Interact frequently with guests and resolve issues to maintain high satisfaction.
• Review revenues, payroll, and forecasting with General Manager and department managers.
• Oversee profitability measures and control costs across departments.
