Job summary

The Willard InterContinental Washington, DC is hiring a Room Service Server to deliver memorable experiences through a warm welcome and seamless service from start to finish. You will handle guest orders, provide recommendations, and ensure timely delivery of meals and beverages to guest rooms.

Responsibilities include taking orders over the phone, upselling, coordinating with other departments, and maintaining high cleanliness and presentation standards in line with hotel guidelines.

Qualifications

• Physical ability to lift, push and pull up to 50 lbs (23 kg).
• Good reading, writing and basic maths ability.
• Flexible to work night, weekend and holiday shifts.
• Compliance with local food handling and alcohol service laws; fluent in local language.
• Excellent communication; warm, welcoming manner.

Responsibilities

• Complete guest payment transactions per cash and charge procedures.
• Answer room service phones, record orders, and upsell where appropriate.
• Deliver and service food and beverages to guest rooms; setup per standards.
• Describe menu items, preparation methods and prices; accommodate special requests.
• Prepare, deliver, and retrieve room service trays; maintain timeliness.
