Job summary

The Osthoff Resort in Elkhart Lake, Wisconsin, is seeking a Part-time Room Service Server to deliver food and beverages to guest rooms and take orders by phone. Shifts are available weekday afternoons/evenings and some weekend coverage.

Responsibilities include accurate order entry, courteous delivery, and collaboration with the kitchen team to maintain resort standards. The role offers competitive pay, benefits, and opportunities for advancement in a lakeside, AAA 4 Diamond branded setting.

Job description

Room Service Servers are responsible for taking orders over the phone and delivering food and beverages to guest rooms promptly and professionally while maintaining the AAA 4 Diamond brand expectation.

Part-time hours available: weekday afternoon/evenings from 3 pm - 9 pm, some weekend shifts available as well (7 am - 3 pm or 3 pm - 9pm)

Duties and Responsibilities

• Take room service orders over the phone and repeat orders back to guests to ensure accuracy
• Enter orders into POS system accurately and efficiently
• Deliver food and beverages to guest rooms in a courteous and professional manner
• Ensure all orders are presented to resort standards
• Anticipate guest needs before they ask
• Set up and remove trays, carts, and service items from guest rooms and hallways
• Perform hall sweeps throughout and at the end of each shift
• Promote The Osthoff Resort’s service principle by example—respond to/resolve guest inquiries, complaints or concerns in a courteous, timely and efficient manner. Make sure to inform a team leader of any problems.
• Collaborate with kitchen and restaurant team members to ensure seamless service
• Assist in the checklists at the beginning/end of each shift with the team
  • Including polishing, cleaning, prepping
• Be willing to help fill in as needed to ensure guests’ needs are being met
• All other duties as assigned
