Job summary

The Osthoff Resort, located in Elkhart Lake, Wisconsin, is seeking a Line Cook for Otto's Restaurant, Concourse Restaurant, and banquet kitchen. Evening, weekend, and holiday availability is required.

You will prepare and cook items according to recipes, maintain high quality and consistency, and collaborate with kitchen staff to complete orders promptly while keeping a clean, organized workspace.

Qualifications

• Must have some culinary experience.
• Knowledge of culinary terms and techniques.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• A positive attitude.
• Ability to push, pull, lift, or carry up to 50lbs.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, team environment.
• Experience setting up cooking lines, stocking, and organizing workstations—willing to teach the right candidate.
• Have ServSafe certificate.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and present food items to the standards set for The Osthoff Resort.
• Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure that all orders are completed in a timely manner.
• Maintain knowledge of restaurant standard menus, specials, and 86 items.
• Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment.
• Maintain a harmonious work environment.
• Practice clear and effective communication with all kitchen and restaurant team members.
• Assist with inventory management and ordering of supplies as needed.
• Continuously practice safe food handling techniques.
• Demonstrate working knowledge of dietary needs and its importance to safe food handling.
• All other duties as assigned.

Job description

The Osthoff Resort, a Four Diamond AAA rated resort, located in beautiful Elkhart Lake, Wisconsin, is currently seeking a Line Cook. We have separate locations available throughout the resort including Otto's Restaurant, Concourse Restaurant, and our banquet kitchen. The line cook will be responsible for preparing and cooking food items according to our restaurant's recipes with high quality and consistency.

Evening, weekend, and holiday availability is required.

Duties and Responsibilities:
