Job summary

Healthcare Services Group, Inc is seeking a Room Inspector to lead a housekeeping team and ensure guestrooms, bathrooms, corridors, and public areas meet high cleanliness and quality standards.

The role requires attention to detail, strong customer service orientation, and ability to guide a team of Room Attendants, Housekeepers, and Laundry staff. Training is provided; on-site duties apply.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• Minimum 1 year of housekeeping experience preferred.
• Strong organizational and time-management abilities are required.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with guests, staff and leadership.
• Understanding safety, chemical handling, and protective equipment is required.
• Ability to work independently, follow instructions, and maintain reliable attendance.
• Capability to bend, kneel, stoop, crouch, reach overhead and lift/pull up to 50 lbs. regularly.

Responsibilities

• Conduct daily property walks and inspect guestrooms, bathrooms, corridors, and public areas; report results to leadership promptly.
• Lead morning huddles, assign tasks to Housepersons, Room Attendants, and Laundry Attendants, and train staff to meet brand standards.
• Act in place of the Housekeeping Director/Supervisor during absences; maintain key controls and occupancy records.
• Handle guest complaints or special requests politely and efficiently.
• Check linens and supplies, write requisitions for items or repairs, inspect furnishings for wear or damage.
• Follow all fire, safety, security, chemical handling, and infection control protocols.
• Perform any other duties as assigned.
