Job summary

AC Hotel Boston Cambridge is seeking a Room Attendant to clean and maintain guest rooms to standard. You will respond to guest needs, replenish supplies, and ensure safety and cleanliness during shifts.

Requirements include a High School diploma and prior housekeeping experience or training. English communication is essential, and shifts may include weekends and holidays with competitive wages and benefits.

Qualifications

• High School diploma preferred.
• Previous housekeeping experience required or equivalent training.
• Understand and communicate in English.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests and provide a friendly welcome.
• Clean guest rooms per standards within allotted time, sweeping, mopping, scrubbing or vacuuming.
• Change bed linens and replace towels and amenities.
• Dust and polish furniture, walls and fixtures; clean fixtures.
• Notify managers about repairs in rooms.
• Handle guest items per lost and found policy.
• Follow safety rules and wear protective equipment per MSDS/OSHA.
• Perform house person and lobby attendant duties when needed.
• Aim to improve overall guest satisfaction scores.
• Perform other duties as requested by management.

Your Focus

• Greet guests upon interaction with a warm and friendly greeting.
• Clean guest rooms according to standards within the allotted time frame by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, or vacuuming.
• Change bed linens and replace towels and other amenities.
• Clean and polish furniture and fixtures; dust furniture, walls or equipment.
• Notify managers concerning the need for repairs in guest rooms.
• Process guest items left in rooms according to lost and found policy.
• Practice safe work habits, wear protective safety equipment and follow MSDS and OSHA standards.
• Perform house person and lobby attendant duties when short staffed or during peak periods.
• Be aware of guest satisfaction scores and work toward increasing departmental and overall guest satisfaction.
• Ensure overall guest satisfaction.
• Perform other duties as requested by management.

Your Background And Skills
