Job summary

Home2 Suites Chicago River North is seeking a Room Attendant to clean and maintain guest rooms to standard. You will greet guests warmly, clean rooms within time frames, replace linens, and handle lost items per policy.

You may assist in lobby duties when needed and contribute to guest satisfaction metrics. The role requires English communication, previous housekeeping experience, and a high school diploma.

Qualifications

• High school diploma preferred.
• Previous housekeeping experience required or equivalent training.
• Understand and communicate in English.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests with a warm, friendly demeanor.
• Clean guest rooms to standards within allotted time by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing or vacuuming.
• Change bed linens and replace towels and amenities.
• Dust and polish furniture and fixtures; clean walls and equipment.
• Notify management about repairs needed in rooms.
• Process guest items left in rooms per lost and found policy.
• Follow safety procedures and MSDS/OSHA standards.
• Perform house person and lobby duties when needed during peak periods.
• Aim to increase guest satisfaction scores and overall department performance.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Your Focus

• Greet guests upon interaction with a warm and friendly greeting.
• Clean guest rooms according to standards within the allotted time frame by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, or vacuuming.
• Change bed linens and replace towels and other amenities.
• Clean and polish furniture and fixtures; dust furniture, walls or equipment.
• Notify managers concerning the need for repairs in guest rooms.
• Process guest items left in rooms according to lost and found policy.
• Practice safe work habits, wear protective safety equipment and follow MSDS and OSHA standards.
• Perform house person and lobby attendant duties when short staffed or during peak periods.
• Be aware of guest satisfaction scores and work toward increasing departmental and overall guest satisfaction.
• Ensure overall guest satisfaction.
• Perform other duties as requested by management.

Your Background And Skills

• High School diploma preferred.
• Previous housekeeping experience required or equivalent training.
