JOB OVERVIEW:

Room attendants engineer the in-room guest experience. They are responsible for cleaning guest rooms as assigned, ensuring the hotel's established standards of cleanliness. Room attendants also report any maintenance deficiencies and handle guest requests or complaints while ensuring the confidentiality and security of all guest rooms.

Role and Responsibilities

Financial Returns:

1. Communicate with the Executive Housekeeper on what tools and supplies are needed to work effectively.
2. Perform job functions with attention to detail, speed, and accuracy.

People:

1. Follow directions thoroughly.
2. Work cohesively with co-workers as part of a team.
3. Live and demonstrate the Maya Hotels core values.
4. Work with minimal supervision.
5. Satisfactorily communicate with guests, management, and co-workers.

Guest Experience:

1. Understand guest's service needs.
2. Maintain confidentiality of guest information and pertinent hotel data.
3. Clean guestrooms per brand standards.
4. Maintain the housekeeping carts with items needed to clean rooms.
5. Respond to guest complaints and ensure corrective action is taken to achieve complete guest satisfaction.
6. Acknowledge each guest.

Responsible Business:

1. Promote a safe working environment.
2. Learn and adhere to all fire and emergency procedures, ensuring guest safety and participating in an evacuation if necessary.
3. Practice safe working habits, including bending and lifting appropriately to avoid injury, reporting hazards, and minimizing tripping and falling hazards.
