Job summary

ION Solar in Manassas, VA is seeking a skilled Installer to assemble, install, and maintain residential PV systems. You will work on rooftops and sometimes in attics, collaborating with electricians and other technicians to connect panels to the electrical grid and ensure weather sealing.

The role emphasizes safety, QA, and teamwork as part of a field installation crew. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with PV equipment, electrical wiring, and the ability to read plans and

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent required.
Vocational or technical school training preferred.
Experience in solar, roofing, or construction preferred.
Extensive knowledge of PV equipment and installation.
Extensive knowledge of electrical wiring and equipment.
Ability to read building plans.
Ability to read equipment manuals.
Ability to use hand and power tools to install PV panels.
Ability to use ION technology, such as smartphones, Paycom, Field Pro, Salesforce, etc.

Responsibilities

Assembles and installs solar panels on rooftops.
Configures PV systems based on site conditions and customer needs; connects panels to the power grid.
Maintains high levels of quality assurance and safety.
Completes projects within established policies and procedures.
Ensures equipment is weather sealed.
Assists Electrician with connecting PV panels to electrical system.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
