Job summary

SRS Building Products in Wooster, OH is seeking a Rooftop Loader to handle loading and unloading roofing materials at customer sites. You will work closely with drivers to ensure timely delivery and safe material handling on rooftops, both flat and pitched, while following company safety standards.

The role requires physical stamina, OSHA awareness, and the ability to operate conveyors and related loading equipment, with occasional travel within the branch area as needed.

Qualifications

• Must be able to lift 80–100 lbs repeatedly.
• Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
• Pass background check and pre-employment drug test.
• Strong safety awareness and PPE compliance.
• Basic math and inventory counting skills.
• Able to read work orders and follow verbal instructions.
• Ability to work on sloped and high rooftops.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload roofing materials from delivery trucks using manual and mechanical methods.
• Follow safety guidelines and procedures; assist in scaffolding setup and equipment inspection.
• Distribute materials onto flat and sloped roofs per safety guidelines; protect workers and property.
• Operate conveyor belt systems (where trained) to move materials from trucks to rooftops.
• Verify and reconcile material orders; maintain inventory movement records.
• Provide excellent service to roofing contractors addressing material needs.
• Adhere to OSHA regulations and PPE usage on all job sites.
• Coordinate with drivers and team members to optimize loading/unloading processes.
• Support safety assessments by identifying site hazards and aiding vehicle maneuvering.
