Job summary

SRS Building Products - Gainesville is seeking a Roofing Materials Handler to load and unload roofing materials from trucks, transport materials to rooftops, and assist on job sites. You will follow safety guidelines, operate basic conveyors where trained, and coordinate with drivers to ensure accurate orders.

The role is outdoors on residential and commercial rooftops, requiring lifting up to 100 lbs, working at heights, and potential overtime.

Qualifications

• Must have High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to lift up to 100 lbs and operate heavy equipment or machinery as required.
• Pass criminal and driving background checks and a pre-employment drug test if applicable.
• Proficient in verbal and written English; Spanish a plus.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload roofing materials from delivery trucks using manual and mechanical methods.
• Follow safety guidelines and procedures at all times.
• Distribute materials onto flat and sloped roofs per safety guidelines.
• Operate conveyor belt systems where trained and certified.
• Verify and reconcile material orders accurately.
• Provide excellent service to roofing contractors.
• Adhere to OSHA safety regulations and company protocols.
• Coordinate with drivers and team members to ensure efficient loading/unloading.
