Job summary

SRS Building Products - Wayne, MI is seeking a dependable Roofer/Materials Handler to load, unload, and position roofing materials on rooftops, ensuring safety and service excellence.

You will follow OSHA guidelines, assist drivers, and verify orders while working outdoors in variable weather. Candidates should lift up to 100 lbs, tolerate heights, and be available Monday–Friday with potential overtime. Forklift certification is a plus.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to pass criminal and driving background checks, plus pre-employment drug test.
• Authorized to work for any employer in the United States without sponsorship.
• Able to lift up to 100 lbs and operate machinery.
• Comfortable working at heights on varied roof surfaces.
• Work outdoors in varying weather; safety PPE required.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload roofing materials from delivery trucks.
• Follow safety guidelines and OSHA regulations.
• Distribute materials onto roofs per safety rules.
• Operate conveyor belt systems where trained.
• Verify and reconcile material orders.
• Provide excellent service to roofing contractors.
• Coordinate with drivers and team to optimize loading.
