Job summary

SRS Building Products - Mentor is seeking a Material Handler to load, unload, and position roofing materials on rooftops for residential and commercial sites. You will work with drivers and team members to ensure efficient, safe delivery and placement of materials, adhering to all OSHA guidelines.

The role is outdoors, on rooftops, and requires lifting up to 100 lbs, with focus on safety, accuracy, and superior service to roofing contractors.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Pass criminal and driving background checks.
• Pre-employment drug test required.
• Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
• Must be physically capable of lifting up to 100 lbs.
• Must be comfortable working outdoors on rooftops and at heights.
• Proficiency in English; Spanish a plus.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload roofing materials from delivery trucks using manual or mechanical methods.
• Safely distribute materials onto flat and sloped roofs per safety guidelines.
• Operate conveyor belt systems where trained and certified.
• Accurately verify and reconcile material orders.
• Provide exceptional service to roofing contractors.
• Coordinate loading/unloading with drivers and team members.
• Follow OSHA safety regulations and company protocols.
