Job summary

Westlake Royal Building Products – Roofing Solutions is seeking a sales professional in the Los Angeles area to achieve revenue targets. You will develop consultative relationships with distributors, builders, and contractors, and work with architects to specify Westlake products in planning documents.

The ideal candidate will have direct sales experience, strong negotiating skills, and a bilingual advantage (Spanish).

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Direct sales experience preferred; building product sales experience preferred.
• Bilingual a plus (Spanish).
• Excellent negotiating skills.
• Strong relationship building skills.
• Ability to manage several projects simultaneously and stay detail oriented.
• Consultative mind-set and solution-oriented selling approach.
• Working knowledge of MS Office including Teams and Outlook 365.
• Experience with Salesforce, SAP or other deal desk systems.
• Insurability and valid US state driver’s license is mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Establish strong relationships with existing customers quickly.
• Sell concrete and clay roofing products to achieve targets in defined segments.
• Collaborate with architects/designers to have products specified in planning documents.
• Interpret data from lead generation and market research to inform strategies.
• Drive product performance to increase market share and sales growth.
• Develop territory plans to meet business objectives and goals.
• Maintain positive customer relations through regular meetings and consultations.
• Coordinate with accounting to keep customer accounts receivable current.
• Provide technical advice and distribute product literature to customers.
• Arrange demonstrations and training sessions and submit sales reports on time.
