Job summary

Colonial Group seeks a Maintenance Manager to lead maintenance for rolling stock assets, oversee shops, call centers, and maintenance staff, and ensure preventive maintenance and DOT compliance are rigorously executed.

The role requires automotive technical credentials, 2 years of management in logistics or call center settings, and familiarity with DOT/FMCSA/OSHA regulations; CDL with tank/HAZMAT is preferred. On-call and travel may be needed.

Qualifications

• 2 years management experience in a logistics shop environment or call center.
• Experience with DOT, FMCSA, and OSHA regulations.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs.
• Class A CDL with tank and HAZMAT endorsement preferred.
• Be willing to work flexible schedule and on-call as needed.
• Some travel required.

Responsibilities

• Tracks and ensures execution of preventive maintenance on all assets and DVIR/EDVIRs per CFR 49 Part 396.11; record keeping.
• Manages and ensures compliance for inspections and cargo tank inspections per CFR rules.
• Minimizes machine downtime across operations.
• Develops relationships with vendors to support maintenance goals.
• Oversees parts procurement to repair assets cost-effectively.
• Captures warranty on assets to maximize warranty programs.
• Holds P&L responsibility for maintenance on rolling stock assets.
• Manages shop operations through shop managers and 24/7 call center coverage.
• Other duties as assigned.
