Job summary

Union Railroad Company is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor, Freight Car to lead the garage team in inspecting, testing, and maintaining rolling stock. The role emphasizes supervision, safety compliance, and adherence to FRA and AAR regulations.

You will direct maintenance schedules, oversee workmanship, and ensure accurate reporting and documentation. The position requires experience in railcar maintenance and strong leadership abilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Supervisory experience required.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, and direct car inspection, air brake testing, classification, maintenance and overhaul.
• Develop schedules and supervise subordinates to meet service demands.
• Prepare and distribute required reports and ensure accuracy.
• Supervise staff in compliance with labor agreements, company rules, and FRA regulations.
• Ensure repairs and inspections conform to AAR Rules and FRA Regulations.
• Assist in billing repair cards, work orders, and related documentation.
