Job summary

MRO is seeking an ROI Specialist to support at client sites for release of information requests. You will determine records to release by reviewing requester information and HIPAA guidelines, and retrieve patient data from various sources.

The role involves answering ROI inquiries by phone, assisting walk-ins, logging, scanning, and processing requests in the ROI On-Line system, while complying with policies. Prior HIM or physician office ROI experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• One or more years of data entry experience.
• Experience using the internet is required.
• Strong verbal communication and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Determine records to be released per HIPAA guidelines.
• Answer phone calls concerning ROI issues.
• Log and process ROI requests in ROI On-Line database.
• Scan medical records into ROI On-Line database.
• Handle and record cash payments where applicable.
• Comply with site policies and regulations.
