Job summary

The University of Arizona Center for Innovation in Brain Sciences is seeking an Animal Technologist II to support rodent-based research projects. You will handle rodents, perform specialized procedures, conduct behavioral tests, and collect data while upholding high welfare and research integrity.

Work with investigators and staff to maintain accurate records, ensure protocol compliance, and contribute to methodological improvements.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a related field.
Minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

Perform advanced laboratory and behavioral research with rodents.
Provide routine and technical support for multiple research projects.
Handle and restrain rodents safely and humanely while adhering to guidelines.
Collect, compile, and maintain accurate research data and experimental records.
Conduct behavioral testing (Y-Maze, Novel Object Recognition, gait analysis) and maintain records.
Collaborate with investigators, laboratory personnel, and veterinary staff to ensure successful completion of research objectives.
