Job summary

Anduril Industries in the United States is seeking a Director of Test & Evaluation – Robotics to lead cross-functional teams spanning Test Operations, Test Engineering, and Test Automation for multi-domain unmanned hardware. You will accelerate mission-ready deployments by scaling SIL/HIL frameworks and field testing across programs.

The role requires a proven track record in safety-critical testing, aviation regulations, and strong leadership across Product, Engineering, and Program Management

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, CS, robotics, or related technical field.
• 10+ years of experience in testing unmanned aerial systems with at least 5 years in a leadership position.
• Proven expertise in software and hardware integration for complex autonomous systems.
• Demonstrated success leading flight test operations as a Test Director for mission-critical platforms.
• Strong understanding of aviation regulations and compliance requirements for unmanned systems.
• Experience managing technical teams with diverse skill sets across operations and engineering.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities for troubleshooting complex hardware and software issues.
• Outstanding communication skills for conveying technical concepts to stakeholders at all levels.
• Willingness to travel to test sites as required; FAA Part 107 certification or ability to obtain one.

Responsibilities

• Lead Flight Test Team and Test Engineering Team with mentorship.
• Establish flight test methodologies for evaluating mission autonomy in surrogate vehicles.
• Develop long-term capacity planning for flight test capabilities.
• Drive V&V of Lattice C2 and Collaborative Autonomy behaviors.
• Architect and scale automated SIL, HIL, and regression test pipelines.
• Oversee live test execution, test infrastructure, safety protocols, and telemetry.
• Collaborate with Product, Engineering, and PM to align test strategies with roadmaps.
• Foster safety standards, regulatory adherence, and performance.
• Ensure compliance with FAA, FCC, and other regulatory requirements.
• Manage resources, budgeting, and scheduling for flight test campaigns.
• Create metrics and KPIs to measure test effectiveness.
