Job summary

DoorDash Labs is hiring a Systems Integration Engineer for the Platform Integration team. This role builds robust integration processes for our platforms and systems, ensuring reliable functionality at every level.

You will work with mechanical, electrical, firmware, and software engineers to define subsystem interfaces, build test setups, and verify platform readiness before validation or manufacturing. You will report to the Autonomy Platform Lead on our Autonomy Platform Team at DoorDash

Qualifications

• BS/MS degree in Electrical Engineering, Robotics, Mechatronics, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years of hardware/software integration or system integration experience in robotics or complex mechatronics.
• Troubleshooting physical systems and diagnosing electrical/communication faults.
• Scripting in Python or Linux shell for tests, logs, and diagnostics.
• Solid knowledge of digital electronics, buses (I2C, SPI, UART, CAN), and embedded peripherals.

Responsibilities

• Define subsystem interfaces, integration risks, dependencies, and system-level validation checks.
• Design and build HIL systems and physical test benches with wiring harnesses.
• Implement automated test sequences to stress-test platform behavior across subsystems.
• Lead system-level debugging when issues cross boundaries.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify gaps impacting safety and performance.
• Document integration procedures, test results, and platform readiness for downstream teams.
