Job summary

DoorDash Labs is hiring a Software Integration Engineer for the Platform Integration team. This role touches the full robot lifecycle, focusing on interfaces between subsystems, OS, firmware, networking, timing, and calibration.

You will work with electrical, hardware, firmware, and autonomy engineers to enable new functionality across hardware and software. This role is hybrid, with time in-office and time remote, reporting to the Autonomy Platform Lead.

Qualifications

• BS/MS in Computer Science, Robotics, Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years of software experience in robotics, autonomous systems or complex mechatronics.
• Experience with ROS/ROS2 or other robotics middleware is a plus.
• Proficient in Python and C++, with ability to write reliable, performant code.
• Comfortable navigating large codebases and understanding OS concepts.

Responsibilities

• Lead system-level debugging when issues cross subsystem boundaries.
• Design and maintain integration tests and test setups for subsystems.
• Build provisioning tools and support integration into autonomy software.
• Collaborate with electrical, hardware, firmware, and autonomy engineers.
• Create tools and guidance for Manufacturing, Validation, Field Service, and Fleet Ops.
