Job summary

DoorDash Labs in the United States is seeking a Hardware Systems Integration Engineer for the Platform Integration team. You will own bring-up, integration, and validation of complex robotic hardware systems, ensuring electrical, mechanical, firmware, and subsystems operate reliably as one cohesive platform.

You will work hands-on with sensors, compute, power systems, harnesses, embedded controllers, drive systems, and thermal devices.

Qualifications

• BS/MS in Electrical Engineering, Robotics, Mechatronics or related field.
• 5+ years of hardware systems integration experience.
• Hands-on debugging of electrical, communication, timing, or power issues.
• Ability to read schematics, wiring diagrams, and interface specs.
• Comfort with oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, digital multimeters, and CAN tools.

Responsibilities

• Own bring-up, integration, and validation of complex robotic hardware systems.
• Define subsystem interfaces and build test setups for integration.
• Debug hardware/software integration issues and verify platform readiness.
• Develop test benches and wiring harnesses to exercise subsystems.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address edge cases affecting safety and performance.
• Document procedures, test results, and platform readiness for downstream teams.
