DoorDash Labs is hiring a Systems Integration Engineer for the Platform Integration team. You will work with mechanical, electrical, firmware, and software engineers to ensure the robot works as a cohesive system, defining interfaces and validating readiness before manufacturing.

This onsite role reports to the Autonomy Platform Lead on the Autonomy Platform Team. You will design and build test setups, implement automated sequences, and lead debugging across subsystems to ensure safe and

Qualifications

• BS/MS degree in Electrical Engineering, Robotics, Mechatronics, Mechanical Engineering, or related technical field.
• 5+ years of hardware/software integration, system integration, vehicle bring-up, or hardware validation for robotics or similar systems.
• Experience troubleshooting complex physical systems and root-causing signal integrity issues.
• Experience with Python or Linux shell scripting for tests and diagnostics.
• Solid understanding of digital electronics and buses (I2C, SPI, UART, CAN).
• Ability to read schematics, wiring diagrams, and perform hardware bring-up and validation.
• Proficiency with Git, Jenkins for source control and build automation.
• Bonus: cross-disciplinary collaboration across software, controls, and hardware.

Responsibilities

• Support early integration of new subsystem designs by defining interface contracts and validation checks.
• Design and build HIL systems and hardware test benches, including wiring harnesses.
• Implement automated test sequences and validation procedures for platform-level behavior.
• Lead system-level debugging when issues span multiple subsystems.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify integration gaps affecting safety and performance.
• Document integration procedures, test results, and platform readiness for downstream teams.
