Job summary

You will position patients, aid with exposure, hemostasis, and suturing, and assist across ambulatory surgical center cases to achieve safe operations.

Requirements include a minimum of 1 year surgical technologist experience with eligibility for CSTFA or SA-C certification, a high school diploma/GED, and BLS at hire.

Qualifications

• 1 year of surgical technologist practice
• High School Diploma or GED required
• Basic Life Support at hire
• Surgical First Assistant Certification or Surgical Assistant Certification within 12 months is required/eligibility

Responsibilities

• Position the patient per surgeon's instructions.
• Assist with visualization of operative field using retractors, sponges and other methods.
• Support hemostasis and exposure during procedures.
• Perform duties as a surgical technician across specialties in ambulatory surgery.
• Assist with closure of body planes using sutures or staples.
• Aid in patient transport to and from the OR.
• Monitor quality of care per professional standards.
