Job summary

Qualifications

Minimum five years of documented experience as a certified surgical technician for internal candidates.
Minimum three years of continuous, documented experience as a certified surgical assistant in the role of 1st assistant for external candidates.
High School Diploma or GED required.
Surgical First Assistant Certificate OR Surgical Technologist Certificate OR Surgical Assistant Certificate OR Certified Surgical Assistant Certificate required.
Basic Life Support required.

Responsibilities

Positions the patient in accordance with the surgeon's instruction.
Performs the role of 1st assistant during surgical procedures under direct supervision.
