Job summary

SpecialtyCare is seeking a Surgical Physician Assistant to act as a First Assistant to surgeons across multiple specialties. The role includes performing complex surgical techniques under physician direction and ensuring accurate documentation for billing.

The ideal candidate holds CSA/LSA/RNFA/PA-C or NP licensure and has prior surgical experience as a First Assistant. On-call duties and multi-location work are required, with a comprehensive benefits package and tuition-related programs.

Qualifications

• Certification/licensure as CSA/LSA/RNFA/PA-C or NP required.
• Previous surgical experience as a First Assistant.
• Flexible hours including weekends/holidays and on-call available.

Responsibilities

• Act as First Assistant or Second Assistant to surgeon during procedures, performing tasks such as retractors, vessel/tissue handling, incisions and cauterization.
• Document procedures for accurate billing and process face sheets.
• Share on-call responsibilities with team as directed by team leader.
• Comply with policies and protocols; orders supervised and countersigned by physician.
