Job summary

SpecialtyCare seeks a Surgical Physician Assistant to serve as a First Assistant to surgeons across orthopedic, general, vascular, and OB/GYN cases. Robotics experience is preferred, and you will perform complex techniques under physician direction.

Qualifications

• Must hold CSA/LSA/RNFA/PA-C or NP certification/licensure.
• Prior surgical experience as a First Assistant required.
• Strong relationship skills with physicians and team; able to work at multiple locations.
• Willingness to be on-call and to work flexible hours, including weekends/holidays.

Responsibilities

• Act as First or Second Assistant during surgery; assist with exposure, vessel control, tissue handling.
• Performs complex surgical techniques as directed by the physician across multiple specialties.
• Document procedures for accurate billing and maintain face sheets in the system.
• Share on-call responsibilities and adhere to policies and protocols.
