Job summary

Standard Bots is seeking a technical support specialist to assist customers after hours, diagnosing robot issues and guiding deployments. You will work 4pm–12am EST, collaborate with engineering and product teams, and maintain thorough CRM records.

A strong troubleshooting background and the ability to explain complex concepts to non-technical audiences are essential. Ideal candidates have 2+ years in robotics support, familiarity with Linux/Ubuntu, and willingness to travel up to 25%.

Qualifications

Associate degree or higher in engineering, computer science, robotics, mechatronics, or a related technical field.
2+ years of experience in technical support, field service, or a related role in robotics or automation.
Ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly to non-technical audiences.
Ability to manage multiple support tickets simultaneously and travel up to 25% for training or visits.

Responsibilities

Provide technical support to customers from 4pm to 12am EST via phone, email, video calls, and ticketing systems.
Diagnose and resolve issues with Standard Bots robots.
Guide customers through troubleshooting, configuration, and best practices for deployment and operation.
Collaborate with engineering, product, and field service teams to escalate complex issues.
Document issues, solutions, and interactions in CRM (HubSpot or similar).
Create and maintain knowledge base articles, FAQs, and troubleshooting guides.
Identify patterns in support requests and provide feedback to product teams.
Own ticket management processes and suggest improvements.
Meet or exceed support KPIs including response time, resolution time, and CSAT.
