Job summary

Amazon.com Services LLC is seeking a talented Technical Support Engineer for Amazon Robotics, providing 24x7 support for robotic fulfilment centres. The role involves complex diagnostics, cross-functional incident response, and building knowledge bases to drive rapid problem resolution.

The position is based in Massachusetts with a Tuesday–Saturday 9-5 PM EST shift. Applicants should have a strong engineering background, Linux and AWS experience, and a track record of clear technical

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or above in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, or Master's degree or above in computer science, engineering, mathematics or equivalent
• Experience in written and verbal communication with the ability to present complex technical information clearly
• Experience with Linux/Unix
• Experience in an AWS environment including VPC, EC2, EBS, S3, SQS, CloudFormation and Lambda
• Experience with databases and SQL
• Experience in automation or monitoring frameworks, deployment or development
• Experience in scripting or programming work in Ruby, Python, Shell/BASH, Java, C/C++, or Perl
• 4+ years in a technical role, preferably in support engineering or system administration.

Responsibilities

• Perform complex diagnostics and resolution of critical robotic system issues through advanced data/AI analysis and technical troubleshooting
• Deliver timely and accurate solutions to customer requests through effective ticket handling
• Lead high-severity incident response, coordinating across teams to drive rapid resolution
• Develop technical documentation, knowledge base articles, and SOPs to improve efficiency
