Job summary

Yaskawa America, Inc. / Motoman in Minnesota seeks an experienced automation sales professional to lead territory growth and partner development.

You will present complex robotics solutions, educate customers on industry trends, and drive opportunities through the full sales cycle, including visits, demonstrations, proposals and negotiations. Significant travel, cross‑functional collaboration, and strong technical understanding are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and a minimum of six (6) years of related sales experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• At least two (2) years of field-based, in-territory sales experience preferred.
• Strong technical understanding of robotics and automation is highly preferred.
• Formal robotics training, certifications, or equivalent hands-on experience are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Achieve or exceed annual sales goals as outlined in the compensation plan.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for customers, ensuring exceptional communication and satisfaction.
• Lead regular business reviews with partners to identify challenges, uncover opportunities, and drive results.
• Support partners throughout the sales cycle, including customer visits, virtual meetings, demonstrations, proposals, and pricing negotiations.
• Manage territory or account performance to meet sales and margin objectives.
• Coordinate closely with internal departments to align resources and deliver best‑in‑class service.
• Maintain accurate and timely sales reports, forecasts and related documentation.
• Travel frequently within the assigned territory; a valid driver's license and full‑coverage automobile insurance are required.
