Job summary

Yaskawa Motoman in Minnesota, Saint Paul area, seeks an experienced field sales professional to drive robotics solutions across a defined territory. You will educate partners, present complex automation systems, and lead business reviews to grow revenue.

This role requires frequent travel, a solid technical background in robotics, and the ability to negotiate, forecast, and deliver best-in-class service to customers and partners.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree with 6+ years of related sales experience or equivalent.
  • 2+ years of field-based, in-territory sales experience preferred.
  • Strong technical understanding of robotics and automation is highly preferred.
  • Formal robotics training, certifications, or equivalent hands-on experience are a plus.

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for customers, ensuring exceptional communication and satisfaction.
  • Lead regular business reviews with partners to identify challenges, uncover opportunities, and drive results.
  • Support partners throughout the sales cycle, including visits, virtual meetings, demonstrations, proposals, and pricing negotiations.
  • Manage territory or account performance to meet sales and margin objectives.
  • Coordinate closely with internal departments to align resources and deliver best-in-class service.
  • Maintain accurate and timely sales reports, forecasts and related documentation.
  • Travel frequently within the assigned territory; a valid driver's license and full-coverage automobile insurance are required.

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for customers, ensuring exceptional communication and satisfaction.
  • Lead regular business reviews with partners to identify challenges, uncover opportunities, and drive results.
  • Support partners throughout the sales cycle, including customer visits, virtual meetings, demonstrations, proposals, and pricing negotiations.
  • Manage territory or account performance to meet sales and margin objectives.
  • Coordinate closely with internal departments to align resources and deliver best-in-class service.

Education & Experience
  • Bachelor's degree and a minimum of six (6) years of related sales experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • At least two (2) years of field-based, "in-territory" sales experience preferred.
  • Strong technical understanding of robotics and automation is highly preferred.
  • Formal robotics training, certifications, or equivalent hands-on experience are a plus.

  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills.
  • Strong manufacturing and technical comprehension.
  • Ability to travel extensively, including overnight and air travel.
