Job summary

Mujin in the United States is seeking a Software Developer for Robotics to design and implement real-time motion planning, perception, and control for industrial robots. You will develop cutting-edge robotics technology, contribute to system architecture, and test algorithms for large-scale deployments.

The role requires a Bachelor’s or Master’s in CS/EE/Robotics, Linux experience, and proficiency in C++ and Python.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or master’s in CS/EE/Robotics and Linux proficiency.
• Experience in 3D motion planning and robot kinematics.
• End-to-end ownership across design, implementations, test strategy, deployment and production support.
• Experience with sockets, request/reply, publish/subscribe, and RPC; ZeroMQ/MQTT.
• Strong fundamentals in linear algebra and 3D transforms.
• Experience with industrial equipment or PLC integration.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop software for motion planning, kinematics, and real-time motion control.
• Build software layer that drives robot arms, conveyors, scanners, and sensors with PLC handshaking.
• Implement and debug industrial communications – EtherCAT, Modbus, OPC-UA, and network links.
• Architect and optimize software systems for industrial automation environments.
• Integrate Mujin’s Teachless technology with major robot arms.
• Write production-quality code and deploy in simulation and real-world environments.
