Job summary

Symbotic is seeking a Service Readiness Engineer to join our team, supporting deployment, maintenance, and service of robotics and automation at customer sites. You will help develop spare parts strategies, maintain BOM structures, and support PLM data and maintenance requirements.

Work with Engineering, Supply Chain, and Field Service to ensure our equipment is ready for service throughout its lifecycle, providing input for service materials, datasheets, and field tools.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Robotics, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience with BOM structures and ECO processes.
• Experience reading or developing engineering drawings using PLM or CAD tools.
• Proficiency in Excel and ability to work with large datasets.

Responsibilities

• Develop spare parts lists for new robotics equipment and during product development.
• Maintain maintenance and operations BOM structures for equipment upkeep.
• Develop and source customer site spare parts lists with cross‑functional teams.
• Support part creation and release in PLM database, reviewing datasheets and sourcing info.
• Develop equipment asset lists and support CMMS setup and data.
• Provide technical input for service documentation and identify field tools and spare parts.
• Provide service feedback to support product improvements and equipment supportability.
