Albany Medical Center's Orthopedic and Robotic Surgical Services seeks a full-time Physician Assistant to join our busy Perioperative Surgical team. You will gain hands-on exposure to DaVinci Xi, dv5, and Mako robotics while assisting diverse surgical specialties in a collaborative learning environment.

Expect a daytime schedule with options for four 10-hour shifts or five 8-hour shifts, with potential additional weekend work.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant degree program or an NP with RNFA training.
• Licensed and actively registered as a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner in New York State.
• Able to quickly master all aspects of a computerized medical recordkeeping and billing system.
• Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written skills.
• ACLS/BLS certification required

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive perioperative care for surgical patients.
• Assist surgeons during a wide range of procedures, including robotic assist in general surgery, urology, gynecology, thoracic & colorectal, and orthopedic subspecialties.
• Perform first-assist and second-assist duties in the operating room.
• Collaborate with perioperative nursing staff and surgical teams to ensure safe, efficient, high-quality patient care.
• Participate in ongoing professional development and quality improvement initiatives within the surgical department.
