Job summary

UT Austin Center for Human and Robot Co-Adaptation is seeking a Robotics Hardware Engineer to develop, integrate, maintain, and deploy robotic systems for HERO deployments across multiple sites. The role requires hands-on hardware and software expertise to assemble systems, plan integrations, and debug issues spanning mechanical, electrical, sensing, and software layers.

The engineer will own robotic platforms, document operations, support replication at Center sites, and help develop safeguards

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required in CS/EE/CE/ME.

Responsibilities

  • Own the hardware and software integration of mobile robotic platforms.
  • Develop and maintain standardized platform configurations for HERO sites.
  • Coordinate platform changes and upgrades across sites to maintain interoperability.
  • Document reference platform configurations, BOMs, and installation guides.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mechanical
