Job summary

Amazon Robotics is seeking an experienced Embedded Software Engineer to help build and maintain safety and non-safety rated robotic systems used in our global fleet. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, test, and debug complex firmware that balances performance with safety.

As a mentor and technical lead, you will guide architecture decisions, review code, and contribute to a world-class firmware team focused on reliable, scalable robotics software across Amazon facilities

Qualifications

• 5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
• 5+ years of programming with at least one software programming language experience.
• 5+ years of leading design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience.
• Experience as a mentor, tech lead or leading an engineering team.
• 5+ years of development experience in C or C++ within an embedded environment or with some aspect of robotic systems.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain safety and non-safety rated systems used in possibly the world’s largest autonomous robot fleet.
• Learn and master components including networking/wifi, security, and sensors.
• Participate in the architecture of these complex systems and collaborate with coworkers to realize the teams goals.
• Provide feedback in the peer review process and communicate with technical leadership.
• Create solutions that balance performance and safety.
