Job summary

Intuitive Surgical, Inc. is seeking a Field Service Engineer 2 for the second shift to install, support, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain Intuitive products within the assigned territory.

The role focuses on electro‑mechanical systems, requires strong customer service, and involves substantial travel. Responsibilities include coordinating installations, performing preventive maintenance, and ensuring compliance with OR protocol and HIPAA standards.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of Field Service Experience preferred.
• Associate's degree in related field or equivalent training/experience preferred.
• Proven track record of troubleshooting electro‑mechanical systems preferred.
• Good written and oral communication skills.
• Clean driving record; ability to lift 75 lbs and move wheeled objects up to 1,200 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Perform all scheduled maintenance activities for your territory, including inspections, preventive maintenance, software updates, recalls, field actions, and upgrades.
• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair Intuitive products and related equipment within your territory and designated timeframes.
• Coordinate and perform system and hardware delivery and installation.
• Maintain knowledge of OR protocol and HIPAA standards.
• Complete administrative duties such as Spare parts inventory, Field Activity Reports, RMAs, and expense reports.
• Maintain company assets including tooling, laptops, iPads, and employee vehicles.
• Support teams as needed to meet company objectives and assist with sales trade shows or training.
• Provide feedback to HQ and participate in continuous improvement efforts.
• Complete required training and professional development courses.
• Maintain territory by responding to customer needs and sustaining system configurations and contacts.
