I2T in Pittsburgh, PA is seeking an Automation & Robotics Engineer to develop, integrate, commission, and support robot automation systems for industrial customers. This hands-on role requires programming robots, collaborating across engineering disciplines, and carrying technical work from concept through startup.

The successful candidate has 0–5 years of robotics experience, a bachelor’s degree in a relevant engineering field, and is willing to travel to customer facilities for commissioning

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline (Mechanical/Electrical/Mechatronics/Robotics).
  • 0–5 years of robotics/automation experience.
  • Robot programming experience from employment, internships, or projects.
  • Ability to read electrical schematics and mechanical drawings.
  • Willingness to travel to customer facilities for commissioning and support.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, modify, test, and troubleshoot industrial robot programs.
  • Integrate robots with end-of-arm tooling, machine vision, controls, safety systems, and peripherals.
  • Collaborate with Controls, Mechanical, Electrical, and Vision Engineers to develop complete automation systems.
  • Support project planning, task estimating, documentation, and schedule commitments.
  • Work with vendors to evaluate robotic hardware and application requirements.
