Job summary

Alliance Automation is seeking a Robotics Engineer to design, program, commission, and support industrial robotic systems used in custom automation equipment. This role remains hands-on and requires strong experience with robotic programming, integration, and troubleshooting across customer facilities.

The successful candidate will own robotic applications, collaborate with Controls Engineers and Mechanical/Electrical Designers, and contribute to project execution from concept through customer

Qualifications

  • Five or more years of industrial robotics, controls, or automation experience preferred.
  • Related engineering or technical degree, or equivalent education and work experience.
  • Advanced programming and troubleshooting capability with at least one major industrial robot platform.
  • Experience with FANUC, Yaskawa, ABB, Kawasaki, KUKA, or similar industrial robotic systems.
  • Strong understanding of robotic motion, coordinate systems, frames, payloads, tooling, I/O, and application programming.

Responsibilities

  • Program, configure, commission, and troubleshoot industrial robotic systems for material handling, machine tending, assembly, dispensing, welding, palletizing, vision-guided applications, and other automated processes.
  • Integrate robots with PLC/PAC systems, machine controls, safety systems, vision systems, end-of-arm tooling, servo equipment, industrial networks, and other automation components.
  • Develop robot programs, motion strategies, frames, payload configurations, recovery routines, and application-specific logic.
  • Optimize robot motion, cycle time, reliability, and overall system performance.
  • Support robotic applications from concept through customer acceptance and help projects meet performance, schedule, and customer requirements.
  • Develop and improve robotic programming standards, reusable routines, documentation, troubleshooting practices, and commissioning methods.
