Job summary

Alliance Automation is seeking a Robotics Engineer to design, program, commission, and support industrial robotic systems used in custom automation equipment. This role requires hands-on robotic programming, integration, troubleshooting, and commissioning experience, with technical ownership of robotic applications.

You will work with Controls, Mechanical, Electrical Designers, and customers from concept through installation and customer acceptance, traveling to facilities as needed.

Qualifications

• Five+ years of industrial robotics, controls, or automation experience.
• Related engineering or technical degree, or equivalent education and work experience.
• Advanced programming and troubleshooting with at least one major industrial robot platform.
• Experience with FANUC, Yaskawa, ABB, Kawasaki, KUKA, or similar industrial robotic systems.
• Strong understanding of robotic motion, coordinate systems, frames, payloads, tooling, I/O, and application programming.

Responsibilities

• Robot Programming and Commissioning: program, configure, commission, and troubleshoot robotic systems.
• Robotic System Integration: integrate robots with PLC/PAC systems, machine controls, safety systems, vision systems, end-of-arm tooling, servo equipment, industrial networks.
• Application Development and Optimization: develop robot programs, motion strategies, frames, payload configurations, recovery routines, and logic.
• Technical Project Execution: support from concept through customer acceptance, identify risks, assist with planning, and meet performance goals.
• Standards, Support, and Knowledge Sharing: develop standards, reusable routines, documentation, troubleshooting practices, and training.
